Anyone tried? Seems like an interesting deal.....I'm pretty sure if I use, it's going to change the way I shop there - I'll be far more inclined to get more "small" orders....anyone else found this to be true?

We signed up for it. We've already "saved" close to the amount the> shipping would otherwise have cost. And, yes, we got a lot more> likely to say "what the hell, send it now" and didn't wait to try to> get other things that would exceed the $25 threshold.
I have not yet signed up for it. I am an Amazon junkie, but not usually in a rush to get my stuff. I try to order enough stuff to get the free shipping each time I order, and usually have no trouble doing so. There is always a book, CD or DVD that I want and sometimes Amazon is the only place one can get the more obscure stuff.
I asked Bobby Dylan, I asked the Beatles, I asked Jon Russell <jonruss63tcov@yahoo.com>, but he couldn't help me either:

We got it, because we will easily spend $80 on Amazon shipping in a year.
So far, the "already-paid-for" shipping means that I'm much more likely to buy something online instead of going to Borders, B&N, Best Buy, etc.
Which is probably exactly what Amazon wants me to do.
