good point. For the record my wife and I have discussed this issue years ago and we each have a living will. Neither of us want resouces for our kids (or to the surviving spouse) to be drained while we lay there with no hope of recovery. IOW, if I were Terri and could look down on myself now I'd be pissed off.
Keep an eye out for the movie version of this book:
Which is pretty amazing if you read it (I recommend you do). This movie will star Jonny dep from what I hear. This controversy should only help the profit of the movie.

No problem for him; he REALLY REALLY wants her dead.
Think how embarrassing it would be for him if there was a miracle and she recovered. The scene where he introduces her to his current squeeze and her 'stepkids' would be classic.

His wish has been granted 15 years ago.

There is as much chance of this happening as my dad coming back to life.
