some argue that there's an "art" aspect of being an MD (and i'm not talking about "alternative" medicine or witch-doctery or somesuch). It isn't all a science. A good doctor can sometimes sense something the test results don't show, usually as a result of gaining a feel for a patient over a long period of time, or via seeing similar symptoms in other cases, etc. It's not a 6th sense or somesuch, it's his experience talking.
