Tests are being performed to verify that the DNA of any of the three unidentified bodies at the blast site matches the Wahhabi militant who claimed responsibility. Neighbors of the man reportedly say they say him leave his house a couple of hours before the attack, and have not seen him since. Jumblat and Gemayel, in apparent recognition of the fact that this was an Al Qaeda attack, have shifted their finger pointing, and now say that Syria deserves responsibility regardless because it has "custody power" in Lebanon.
