So I'm watching this original broadcast, and it amazes me to see Tretiak giving up that goal at the end of the first period to Johnson. He barely reacts to Johnson's move until the puck is past him.
Might be one of the biggest brain lapses I have ever seen in sports. Seriously. Right up there with Fred Brown, basically.

I'm way to distracted by the big blue spots on the ice. I've played on some crappy rinks where the puck gets lost visually in the nasty colored ice (actually all the patches in the concrete underneath) but sheesh!

What is this Stanley's Cup that you speak of????
It's really cool. Looks like a traffic barrel with a fruit bowl on top but in silver.
They used to award it to the best pro hawky team back when that sport was played professionally.
