So noted.

The writer stares with glassy eyes
Defies the empty page
His beard is white, his face is lined
And streaked with tears of rage

Thirty years ago, how the words would flow
With passion and precision
But now his mind is dark and dulled
By sickness and indecision

When it comes to romanticising their devotion to drug induced alter
realiities, yes.

Seriously, read the articles and obits over the last few days and
over the weeks to come. Not only do they dwell on his drug use, it's
made to seem as if they were at the heart of his art.

Well, maybe I'm just a Luddite. I never got Burroughs, Huxley or

Do you get any fiction?

How about Stevenson, Carrol, Yeats, Coleridge, etc?

Dude, "Whatshisname of Mars" was an outstanding series. It was the
first fantasy/science fiction series I ever read.

Which set is more relevant to 2005?

Don't dodge the answer.. just own up to it. You never know.. you may be
on the verge of a 10-game winning streak vs. the Hokies.

(Heh.)
