Dan Wheldon held off Scott Sharp to score the victory at Twin Ring Motegi.
The Andretti Green Racing driver has now notched three wins this season; his
worst finish was a sixth at Phoenix.

The IndyCar points leader had over three seconds to spare when he took the
checkered flag. Sharp gave his new team, Delphi Fernandez Racing, their
best finish in four starts in the 2005 Indy Racing League calendar.
