Sunday Qualifying, Malaysia: McLaren!

Tussock 20 March 2005 08:09:35
I presume the McLarens are fat with fuel, because they both kinda
suck in race trim otherwise.

Renault. Is Fisi on heavier fuel?
Toyota. Ralf arsed up the first turns again.
Williams. Webber with another great qaulifying.
McLaren. Heavy?
Red Bull. Light?
BAR. Oh dear, how sad, never mind.
Ferrari. That's a long way to the front, but RB did it last week.
Sauber. JV is _still_ slow.
Jordan. What did that silly Russian man buy?
Minardi. 107.2% and 108.2%. Oh dear.

Looking foward to the race, delayed NZ coverage and all. Stupid
Hong Kong 7's rugby gets preferance at prime time. Will Webber get stuck
behind someone again? Can Toyota pull off a win (not likely if the
Renault engine lasts the distance)?

HK 7's or not, Brazil, Malaysia, Japan etc are always delayed broadcast.

We don't deserve a street race with this lack of suppport for motor racing.

I just hope I can stay awake through Boring Bob's question time...

TVNZ Sucks, if it was footbal cricket or even basketball we would be
forced to watch live coverage, why cant they subject us F1 fans to the same.

BTW nz.rec is nz group for F1 (and other things)

Didnt they shift Japan to TV2 last year to give live coverage? or was it
another race.

And you whinge. Here in Oz, the coverage is 5 hours delayed and it's not
even for sport.. 3 crappy American junk programmes..including the bloody
simpsons ffs... and a dumb reality show (the X factor) which goes for 2 1/2
freakin hours..

The rugby was all replays (if that counts) exept the finals, which
were well after the GP was over anyway. Oh well, Fiji absolutely rocked
at the 7's, and it's good to see them as the world champs again.

Speaking of rocked, there was rather a good GP on starting at
midnight here...

Yes! Renault lasted the distance, /and/ Webber got stuck behind one
of them; only this time he tried to pass. Oops!

Brazil is usually live, just at 0400...
