Worldnetdaily is an anti-American right wing propaganda rag whose only
purpose is to take rumours and stories with little factual basis and blow
them out of proportion with a pro-right wing slant, in order to inflame the
less-than intelligent right wing boobs into a feeding frenzy.

Most of its content consists of lies, distortions or unsubstantiated stolen
headlines. It makes the tabloids look honest.

It should come as no surprise that a right-wing fanatic and imbecile is
quoting wordnetdaily.

Just how far would bottom-feeding attorneys get in their action
without the urging and retainers of the bottom dwellers in the fist.

Blaming the plaintiff's bar for the actions of the plaintiffs seems
hardly reasonable.

Nope, a typical Shyster American lawyer is suing, and has just rounded
up a few plaintiffs.

And there is a clear gap between the Americans knowing the tsunami was
going to strike and when it finally did strike, in which time in theory
warnings could have been delivered. I don't know the answer to the
question why such warnings were not delivered, but it is a legitimate
question.

Yeah, the US should have called those hundreds of isolated Islands that have
no running water, electricity or phone lines and told them a Tsunami was
coming.
Oh wait, the US would have had to send people over to actually string phone
lines first before calling them.
Oh well, mother natures population control strikes again like it has for
billions of years.

Well, you wouldn't need bou "bury" anyone in a sewer, just toss them in.

Yes, good case. Everyone knows how precise weather forecasting is, so it
should be easy to win. Oh, wait - why didn't Ferrari just get the aviation
forecasts for the nearest airport. Those reports are EXTREMELY accurate for
up to 30 minutes, enough time to get the right tyres on the car.

Under normal circumstances I'd agree with you.. But you appear,
unfortunately, to have a proportion of practitioners who actively
create and trawl cases.. Widespread advertising for plaintiffs to take
part in class actions comes to mind.

It's getting as bad here in the UK. It feels like every other advert
on TV is some shower of lawyers encouraging the inept, careless and
incompetent to sue someone.. "Where there's blame there's a claim" -
and where there isn't, we'll still have a go..

 In message <fub431ljtge03mivicqksc6o9sa1s2tdg4@4ax.com>, Da Frank
<fajp@ooptushome.com.au> writes>All i know is, in this country i have not seen a law firm advert 10-15 >years ago. In the last 10 years it has become quite a common thing.

In England, there are strict rules on advertising by solicitors. 10-15
years ago, it was virtually banned, and it was strictly restricted after
that because it was felt that it was demeaning and unprofessional.
The usual sales pitch contains the following : 'have you been done; >have someone done to you; were you sacked; did they do this; were you >injured; did someone step on your toe, rock your boat, etc.. Know your >rights. Free first consultation, no cost to you, etc..' These are >established law firms who have been around for many years before all >this started. While i'm not 100% sure what a "claim farmer" is, i don't >think these would fit that bill. Well, not before they started this new >ad campaign, anyway.

Claims farmers are just wide boys who have spotted a gap in the market.
Because negotiating settlements is not restricted to lawyers, they can
provide that "service" even though they have no proper understanding of
issues of liability, causation and calculation of levels of damages. So
they go for the blanket approach that anyone injured can get
compensation, when lawyers know that is simply untrue.

Unfortunately, some lawyers have felt obliged to push the boundaries of
their advertising because of the competition from these cowboys.

Incidentally, you may not be aware, but two of the biggest companies
that operated in this field in England, two of the ones regarded as
(relatively) reputable, collapsed in chaos. In one case, it was found
that the majority of claims were brought by friends and family of their
sales staff, and a large proportion of them were completely spurious or
very seriously exaggerated at the company's instigation.
