 No title for Jan Magnussen despite 7 race wins

Despite winning 7 races in this years Danish Touring Car Championship,
DTC, there was no title for Jan Magnussen and Team Den Blaa Avis
Fleggaard Racing. In the races Jan Magnussen, in his BMW 320si E90, had
10 points more than rival Casper Elgaard, who only claimed 5 race wins,
but this year the rules had changed and DTC awarded points for the first
three drivers after qualifying. And in this discipline Casper Elgaards
Team Essex Invest had more experience with the rearwheel driven BMW than
Jan Magnussens team, who had their first year of racing with the BMW.
Therefore Casper Elgaard scored 17 point with Jan Magnussen scoring only
4 points in qualifying and in the end that was the deciding factor that
meant the title did went to Casper Elgaard despite Jan Magnussen winning
the finale race of the year at Jyllands Ringen. Only 3 points separated
the two drivers.
