 INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 3, 2006) -- 2003 NHRA World Champion Tony
Pedregon and his Q Power Nitro Funny Car Team head to Atlanta Dragway
this weekend for the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals.

"Atlanta was the location of my first win in a Funny Car (in 1996), so
it's like going home for me," Pedregon said of this weekend's race.
"It's a big weekend for us as we'll be entertaining the guests from
Great Stuff in our hospitality area. I think the next few races for us
are important - we'll be fighting to get back into the top 10 in
points. Not only that, but we put in a lot of work in the past few weeks
preparing for the next group of events, specifically Atlanta, to get back
to the winner's circle. We have some ground to make up, but I believe
in this team and our capabilities.

NHRA POWERade Nitro Funny Car Team roll into Atlanta for the Summit
Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals, April 26-29, 2007.Pedregon is
third in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series Countdown to the
Championship.

Pedregon, the 2003 Funny Car NHRA World Champion, is confident heading to
Atlanta and with good reason.The Q Power team, showing the intensity and
focus of a championship team, had a strong showing in Las Vegas, which
included a dramatic, final qualifying round pass of (4.763 @ 328.70 mph)
that earned them the No. 5 spot in to the final 16-car Funny Car field.
