Thank you friend. --- > So yeah, should be 'good chilled out' most afternoon> and evening party day.

PS
And I am very thankful for your (UK) giving us not
just a fair hunk of population, and a language, but so
many wonderful attitudes and views.

To perhaps explain:
Cut and paste from another ng past post.
I and my wonderful wife last winter had another wonderful chance to spend
a Caribbean vacation in Belize (formerly Brit Honduras).
Wonderful. Wonderfully pleasant and very diverse
population. Large numbers directly from 'natives',
large numbers from Africa, pretty fair numbers from
UK, and large numbers of recent immigrants from all
over. And the vast majority are blending together,
and doing well.

Yes, they speak English there. But that also means
so much more than the "language" spoken. There
is a extremely 'civil' attitude toward everything and
everyone. ie Police pleasantly walk the streets unarmed
and by themselves, greeting all.

Look around at the bottom
line around the world. Which former colonies have done
well, as far as stable democracies, literate populations,
large middle classes, in contributing greatly to world's
supplies of food, goods and services?

USA, Canada, Australia, NZ, India & SA recently.
Where the English colonized, they left some attitudes and
traits, that are conducive to 'success' in the modern world
(so much more so, than the areas Spain colonized).

We definitely suggest that anyone wanting a real enjoyable vacation consider
Belize. I will gladly expand more if anyone wants (sorry about formatting!)

Strange that you mention the word "thankful", be it for whatever
Brit attributes you quote.

I hope each individual reads whatever literature is available
related to the "British Rule" and what came along with it...
