Ferrari intentionally throwing the title

Tim@Nocomment.Com 13 May 2005 03:14:21
I was wondering if anyone else thinks Ferrari may be intentionally
throwing the championship?
It seems a little suspicious that they have fallen this far so fast,
even considering the rule changes.

Schumacher wouldn't throw the title if it meant another Holocaust. He is
that ruthless.

Nobody spends $300, 000, 000.00 to fail unless one is in government.

I think the Bridgestone tires are crap and Ferrari rested on it's laurels
and the other teams just got their cheats down a little better, except for
BAR. The pendulum was bound to swing the other way, it always does, hence
the name, and I think people are reading too much into this.

Let me ask this. If Ferrari were now 5/5 and MS was way out front, would the
Italy haters in here not be weeping and wailing. People in here weep and
wail anyway so it must be for something, if not getting exactly what they
have wanted for the past 7 seasons.

I don't. I suspect the other teams heard me screaming at them last year
and decided to actually try racing instead of farting around and
Ferrari/Bridgestone got caught flat-footed.
It seems a little suspicious that they have fallen this far so fast, > even considering the rule changes.

Perhaps it's a repeat of 1980. 1979, Ferrari were WDC and WCC and 1980,
(the beginning of the long 21 years without WDC), they were 10th in the
WCC and 14th and 19th in the WDC.

Hello Mark.

Did you catch the 1995 Canadian GP on Speed tonight?

As I recall by reading your website years ago, it was your first F1 GP race!

Just asking.

No. But nobody stays at the top forever. And designers and engineers>have form as well and don't always do the best job in a given season.>It used to be said that "you don't need a Schuey if you've got a>Newey", that ain't the case any more.>
What I'm really saying is that to me it's more remarkable that Ferrari>had such a long streak of success than that the streak came to an end.

I've said it before, and, because I'm an old man, I will say it again.
My friend and I used to get together on Sunday nights (.au) for a few
lagers and what we called "The Senna-Berger Show".

Everyone has their brief 15 minutes or few years at the top, that
"pinnacle" that is mentioned so often. It lasts for a long time, and
ends just as quickly. The fall is never graceful.

In that way, it's kind of like bukake.

Cheers,
Dave.

And isn't this, for the most part, the same car that they used over the
last part of last year? Wasn't it very reliable last year?
What has changed?
I can see other cars becoming faster due to the other teams efforts but
I can't see Ferraris becoming less mechanically reliable due to other
teams efforts.
