DALE EARNHARDT JR., NO. 8 BUDWEISER MONTE CARLO SS - Qualified 28th: "We only got about 50 percent of the adjustments out of it we needed. We started in race trim this morning and only got into qualifying trim late in practice. If we had started earlier and had a lot more time to work on it, I think the car would have been faster. The car was okay. The track is a lot better grip right now with the temperature and being overcast. But I'm really happy for the team. We were really, really in the muck this morning. We were working really hard to figure out the tire this morning. I'm really proud of my team. To be able to get a lap like that, I'm really happy for my team. I'm not really sure how good it's going to be."
CLINT BOWYER, NO. 07 JACK DANIELS MONTE CARLO SS - Qualified 16th - "This is because of the guys I have behind me. Gil Martin and the guys on this ole Jack Daniels Chevrolet have really been giving me good cars and I am really excited about this year. Last year was a learning year and we did just that. Fortunately our sponsors and Richard (Childress, team owner) were patient with us I really like we are set and ready to win our first race and be a part of the Chase at the end of this year."
