 Wheldon Wins Opener at Homestead

Andretti Green Racing's Dan Wheldon took the first IndyCar Series victory
of the 2005 season, becoming the 87th Firestone-equipped driver to win an
IndyCar Series race and doing so on one of Firestone's most challenging
tracks.

 Firestone Tire Performance Summary: Firestone brought a new tire for 2007 to
Homestead, and it performed well. It was produced to give the drivers
additional grip and was used previously at the Homestead open test in
February.

From Dan Wheldon, Target Chip Ganassi Racing Dallara/Honda/Fires­tone: "What
a great way to open up the season! Even when we had the problem in the
pits, I was calm because the car was fun to drive. After that stop we were
able to get back up to the front quickly and not work the tires too much, so
obviously the Firestone's were pretty good today!"
