Thinking of taking one of those Caribbean golf vacations advertised by one
of the major US airlines.

Would appreciate any tips, bon mots or warnings from anyone who has done
similar...

Also, will go shopping for new travel bag for clubs. My buddy got his at
Walmart (no shame in his game). I'd like to go a bit more upscale.

Suggestions?

the only suggestion that I have is to check all of your destinations and
make sure that the golf courses are open and in good shape to play. I just
returned from the western Caribbean and it got the sh*t kicked out of it by
Ivan last year. The main course on Grand Cayman is closed and the 2 smaller
ones are pretty beat up.

Club Glove - The Last Bag. I've had all kinds of travel bags, and this is
the best for me.

He's there now.

He had a very bad day today. Should be an interesting trip report when he
types it all up here. :^)

Crap, I was afraid you were going to say that.

It's a family vacation that my wife planned with her best friend. Being
able to dive is really something I wanted to do for the halibut. Not
going just to dive.

I'll wait to read your report, thanks for the tip though.

In September of 2005, I am going to get on my bicycle and ride for
people suffering from AIDS and HIV. Why? Because I can and there
are too many people who can't.

 Hey guys,

A while back I posted to see if anyone had ever done any dives in Puerto
Rico. What I found is a bit discouraging - not a lot of good things to
say about it.

I'll be staying in Old San Juan. Does anyone have anything good to say
about diving there in February?

Thanks,
M@

Head to the southwest corner. There's lots of good diving in Mayaguez,
La Parguera, Boqueron, etc. Unfortunately, the diving around San Juan
is not so good.

We dove with La Parguera (sp?) down on the southwest coast. Nice diving
over the edge @ 80' and lots of black coral at < 100' too

It will be much warmer than diving in Lake Superior and you can >> practice Spanish with the locals. Have some beans and rice as they >> are generally excellent. >
Smoke some cigars too:)

The cigars will be good, but not Cuban.

I almost married a Puerto Rican chick. I'm sure I'd have killed myself or
she'd killed me by now if I'd gone thru with it.
