I want to get a new computer to replace my current air only computer. I want it to be nitrox capable and possibly air integrated. I prefer to have it on my wrist vs. on the console.
I've looked all over the internet for reviews and have found very few that offer reasonable opinions that go much beyond the manufacturer's blurb.
Anyone got any opinions of what to buy or stay away from?
I like the Suunto D-9 but don't like the fact I can't change batteries. The TUSA 800 also is appealing.
The manual says they "recommend" that you take it to Suunto dealer,> it doesn't have to go back to the factory. Just a guess but I bet you> can DIY if you want to, but if it floods it's your problem. I opted for a Aeris Atmos 2 but then I needed big numbers because I'm age challenged. Jim
I'm with you there! The Cobra is great when you can see it but for the older generation Suunto missed the boat. The new Suunto "Cobra 2" (due out in March) has a display which is aimed at our age group, plus other features. I'll be trying it out as soon as it's available.
