Running the Duro backwards

Teachndad 23 March 2005 08:11:21

Anyone mounted a Duro tire in the reverse direction? Would it make a
difference in riding skinnies? I was looking at the tread pattern and
just wondering.

When I put the Duro on the wheel, I don't want to take it off again. I
was hoping someone had tried this experiment before to see if the it
makes a difference backwards or forwards.

Cheers.

A friend of mine has his Muni supplied with the Duro on backwards,
seemed to have a little less grip on loose surfaces and didn't turn as
well on pavement, as for skinnies i didn't try it but i don't see why it
would be any better, it genreally seemed to be less controllable all
round.

I've got mine on backwards. It was one of the changes I made when
trying to correct a tracking problem. That, along with boosting
the tire pressure is what finally got it to track straight for me.
Aside from that, I don't think it made any great difference to the
grip it achieves.
