I'm not exactly a super-fit athlete but I am increasingly aware that rowing, even at my decrepit stage of life, is a "mind game" as much as one of body. More specifically, I find that if I'm confident and motivated I can push on further into the fatigue/pain/GetMeOutOfHere zone than I can if I'm doubting my ability, or worrying about my state of fitness, or simply not "switched on".
There's a fair amount of material on training the body; given that my mind appears a significant factor in my performance, can anyone point me to material on training it as well?

This can be a whole 'nuther topic, who gets waked and who doesn't.
