In the womens division, the ladies NC State defeated UNC in the finals. Not sure what the final score was but the Jaga girls were up comfortably the whole game. The game featured the Molly Doyle and Lindsay Hack matchup. Both of these girls are amazing players and will be a force to be reckoned with.
In the mens division, Chico State took home the paddle. They defeated the Tufts army 13-9. Tufts has got to be one of the biggest and most athletic teams that I've ever seen. Look at them to be a contender at Nationals this year. Back to Chico State. I don't know how this team does it. They were undefeated the whole weekend in games and boat races. I can't say enough about these guys. They have got to be the most fun team to watch. The finals was a big highlight show with plenty of ooooh's and aaaah's coming from the stands. You had Ezra Butterfield making the sickest grabs in the endzone. One was for the game winner over 4 guys. There also two other guys in the red and green shorts making several layout D's.
Congrats to the NC State girls and Chico State.
As for the toga party...It was a bit of a blurr to me. All I know is that we went through 23 kegs for the night. Originally, there was only 15 kegs but they were floated within 2 hours. Is this some kind of record for an ultimate party? The DJ was great and kept the people of the dance floor bumping. Oh yeah, the biggest entrance of the night was when the Jaga girls strolled in with matching NC State togas. Talk about turning heads...It was hot.
This was the first year that the Party winners went on the tournament.
Those are only some of the highlights I remember...PLease feel free to fill in.
I want to thank all the teams for making it. I also want to thank Dan Bergson from Gaia for sponsoring the tourney. The winning teams not only took home trophies but a set of Gaia jersies.

Sounds like a great time! Nothing should make an ultimate player feel better then knowing they took part in the murdering of 23 kegs!!
