It'd make sense if we could get sectionals in a more centralized> location like the triangle area. Sectionals have been in greenville> for at least the past three years right?

---no......App State was within the last two years, i believe...and a year
or two prior to that.

Any team that ever asks.....receives first option.
App, UNCW and ECU are the regulars that offer up their fields.....
the rotation has been...um....rotating.

triangle or triad....just bring it....but hustle up.

 UNC won their pool by defeating the UNCW Seamen 11-10. UNCW lead 8-9...tied
at 9s, tied at 10s after a UNCW upwinder. Seamen pull and UNC marches it
right upwind for the gamewinner.

UNCW beat Duke 13-11, and the other two teams they faced today...and face
Elon in the morning in the final pool game.

Everyone has a 9am pool game, afterwhich UNC plays Davidson who upset Wake
Forest in the Finals. Winner, obviously is #1, the loser drops down to play
the winner of Wake vs UNCW.
The loser of the Wake UNCW game drops down and plays the winner of some sort
of semifinal bracket.

Games start at 9. Tickets are going fast.
See you there at 8:30

elon vs guilford 13-2
elon vs unc-g 13-4
duke vs elon 11-5

3 of the 12 teams came to town with 10 or less on their roster and my hat is
off to them.
lenoir-rhyne from hickory, nc was another team lost due to roster issues and
so we went from 13 to 12 teams very late yesterday.
lenoir-rhyne was expected to compete savage, two of those being female
players.

the unc-uncw game was certainly the game of the day. i didn't see much
but when i was at the field both teams were playing big-time ball with lots
of swagger
and losts of vinegar. darkside with 2 upwind goals to 1 to close the game.

the forecast for tomorrow doesn't look good but our fingers are crossed.

Tornado Warning is apparently in effect in Wilmington. Word is they
are postponing games until noon

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
---i just took a shower in preparation for heading out to watch the final
pool game and the elimination brackets......and there was less water in the
shower than there is outside.
i got my boots on....
my water resistant warm up....
and my padagonia jacket is by the door....
windiest non-hurricane day that i've seen in wilmington....
azaleas blossoms are flying all over my yard....
my back patio is a pool...
flowers are gonna be growing in a day or two....
ultimate games might take longer!
Otherwise, I suppose its next weekend.
Weather channel does not look promising...
