If UCSD is not going to be at Stanford because of their suspension, who
will be taking their place at the tournament?

Will each of the lower seeds be bumped up one place and a new 20th seed
be added?

-Tom

UW Hodags

P.S. The last team to get in to the tournament gets to pick their

Well UCLA finished second at the qualifier and beat the loser of the other
semi in pool play so they would be a likely addition.

And I'm not sure how the seeding will be affected. The pools are currently
balanced to avoid regional matchups(for the traveling teams), and to spread
the western teams out evenly. One scenario might be to take out UCSD and
fill their spot with the next lower seeded NW or SW team bumping up all the
lower seeded NW and SW teams while leaving non NW and SW teams where they
are and then adding UCLA at the bottom. This would maintain balance, but
I'm not sure if it would result in a seedings travesty or not.
