8 of us took our bikes to watch the northern classics last year. Our rental car had factory rails and we were going to drive from Flanders to the Ardenne but didn't want to carry 8 sets of fork mounts and rails. We fit 5 different size (wheelbase) bikes on the top of one car using just the standard QR fork mounts, our own cross bars plus 5 strips of velcro from Home Depot. The velcro is precut with the equivalent of a button hole that one end slides through to form a closed loop. This is wrappend around the cross bar and rim. Works so weel that I took the trays off of my car here in the states. -Mike
