Maillard Freewheels- Compact & SuperCompact ?

 What does the designation "Compact" or "SuperCompact" mean in regard
to Maillard freewheels? Is it something to do with "ultra" spacing ?
Or something else... and while I'm on the subject, were Maillard
6 speed clusters ultra spaced ? (This would al be in regards to non
Helicromatic clusters - just standard, late model, freewheels).
