Where can I get the plastic screw-on tops of gear oil bottles>without buying the gear oil?>
They fit regular automotive oil quarts, and are incredibly handy>for getting oil into little oil holes.
The gear oil I've been buying has bigger threads than the motor oil bottles I have.
I don't know if they're sold alone though.
They aren't, unless you want to buy *lots* of them. There's also the issue that there is no standard for such threads. While two sizes are common, many are used.
You get the hole size you cut them for.

Valvoline gear oil tops fit Quaker State motor oil quarts perfectly, whatever else is true. -- Ron Hardin rhhardin@mindspring.com
