But RAI International does not ever have any sports, let alone cycling.
For some reason they don't have any Giro stuff listed for today though --> http://www.international.rai.it/tv/palinsesti/tvnor/20050515.shtml but I checked some of the other days and they appear to be showing at least 2 hours or more of Giro coverage per day, plus a pre-stage show and post-stage wrap-up; if I'm reading the schedule properly.

RAI international over here on satellite show the Giro most days except on sundays when football gets precedence (ac vs inter last sunday and lazio vs roma this one).

Oh well good for you, different RAI-Int apparently.

I think there are different RAI Internationals for different parts of the world. RAI International 1 is available in Latin America/Australia, RAI International 2 is available in N. America, RAI International 3 in Africa, RAI International 4 in Asia.
As for Europe, I think they broadcast regular old RAI throughout there (I could be wrong though).

No I think you're right, sorry about that. There are a few other "Int" channels on the cable, but the one Italian station is just RAI 1.

Sorry have lost the start of this thread. So I this may/may not be of use to you. Eurosport commentators said that the Giro is now broadcast only on RAI 3 in Italy, and that no French or Spanish channels are covering the race.
