Cyclo-crosser Enrico Franzoi is starting for Lampre-Caffita. He was also at De Panne, where he gave an anonymous but solid performance, finishing 19th overall.
Dierckxsens is there, of course. He'll go for the early suicide break - of course.
VDB is a no-show, predictably.
Kirsipuu will probably have fun burning himself out with the short, roller-coaster climbs. So will Voeckler.
Most of the Spanish teams will be lucky to have anyone finish, but Liberty has a few strong men and even count a Dutchman in their ranks - Koen de Kort. E-E is as clueless as ever. There will never be a first Basque winner of the RvV at this rate.

He did fine work for Ballan, and put in a decent TT. If he has any dreams up here, they will be more angled on Roubaix I guess.

so what ? there wille be fine races in 2006 too.

Voeckler has shown plenty of eagerness in the Flemish races this year, but wastes energy at the wrong moments. In the Ronde course knowledge and tactical wit are even more important than in the smaller races. It's still hard to assess the real abilities of this maillot jaune accidental. What we do know is that he can beat Virenque in camerasucking overacting.

I've been impressed by his aggressiveness this spring (and some decent results). Holding his own for a relative newcomer to the North. He's more than a one shot maillot jaune wearer.

I think the climbs are too difficult for him and that he knows it; I heard he's putting everything on Roubaix. That attack of him in M-SR had very little punch.

Yep! Always mentioning the words "Moeder Gods!" (Mother of God) as a> sign of how impressed he was while watching Jalabert from "his"> motorcycle.> (When will Van Nieuwkerke take over from Wuyts?)>
K
Not soon, I hope. I like listening to Wuyts. He always has something to say, even when he doesn't really have anything to say.

In regards to Voeckler's camerasucking overacting skills, if he's better than Dickie V, then some sort of performance enhancer **must** be involved. Virenque was the absolute master of that skill set (sorry, Ewoud, I agree that Mattan is very good at it, but RV is still the best, imo).
Oh wait, but he *is* on the startlist on CN. Rabobank's pages have Jan> Boven instead of Horrillo. Cycling4all.com has Jan Boven with a question> mark.
Horrillo has disappeared from the latests lists, and with Hayman and Sentjens fighting for Freire's slot, it's unlikely that Horrillo will ride.
