A Great Miami recreation trail first funded seven years ago should be finished next year. Representatives of the Miami Conservancy District said the path in Franklin, which Warren County commissioners gave $250,000 to in 1999, is about a year behind schedule. But during an update Tuesday, district officials said construction bids should begin in May and invited commissioners to next year's ribbon cutting. The $1.2 million, four-mile trail in Franklin is part of what was once called the "Great Connection." The eventual goal is to create a path connecting Hamilton County with Montgomery County.
