It almost hit me this morning

Ken 20 April 2005 21:14:38
literally! I think I have one idea about why some MV operators get upset
when they see a cyclist, while on my morning ride I was cruising along maybe
12mph or so, and I looked down for a second and when I looked up there was a
guy heading right towards me, yes he was riding in the WRONG direction! This
probably upsets many drivers. I know it upset me as a cyclist! Not only is
it dangerous for the rider but if a car hit him at 30 mph, it probably would
have done a fair amount of damage to the vehicle. And then it happened again
later on in my ride. Now these are the people that probably don't ride that
much, but they should still obey the rules. I am a novice, but I try to obey
the rules. I never ever ride in the wrong direction! Where I live this would
be a death wish!

Was one of the guys about 5'3", blue jeans, purple girl's bike, maniacal
grin?

Whatever you do, do NOT play "chicken" with him!

HAND.

I am not too sure about the bike, he could have been wearing blue jeans, and
I didn't really notice a grin. But he looked like an irritated young
Mexican! But I would still not want to play chicken with him!

Hmm. "Baka" might just be a weird spelling of "vaca," Spanish for
cow. It's actually prounounced more like "Baka" by most Mexicans.

Perhaps chicken was just the wrong game. I'd say milk him.

Sorry. Won't udder another word on this one....
