Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a marked pro-Pakistan bias in BBC reporting ?
More than two days after Pakistan beat India in the Jamshedpur ODI (which I did not follow / watch), I am still getting that news in the daily email service from BBC in the South Asia section. The Indian wins in the first two ODIs got no such coverage (or rather, they got normal coverage - prominent the next day, relegated the day after that). Even the placement of Pakistan wins (compared to wins of their opponents) on the page tends to be a lot more prominent (often frontpage on http://news.bcc.co.uk). During the Test series, the Pakistani draw and the win were hailed as brilliant, while the Indian win got little such coverage, even through the teams are nearly evenly matched, with India with a slight edge.
Unrelated to cricket, I read a report about Kashmir 3 weeks ago which contained a subtle, but very noticeable comparative choice of phrase - "Pakistan administered Kashmir" and "Indian controlled Kashmir". While they maintained their skin-deep even handedness in the rest of the article, that contrast is by itself pejorative in its implications, considering the relative number of elections that have been held in these two parts of Kashmir.
If one goes to one of the "Have your say" columns, I notice that the number of Pakistani or expat Pakistani comments on a suitable issue sometimes either matches or more often exceeds the number of Indian or Indian expat comments. One does not need to be a mathematical genius to note that this is downright wierd given the relative populations of the two countries and their diaspora, and the fact that Internet usage has a far greater penetration in India than it does in Pakistan.
That is all ignoring the fact that usually only the concilliatory Indian comments make it through (which is strange), while a full range of Pakistani opinion is allowed (as it should).
The BBC's heavy pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli bias has been known for decades, but their apparent willingness to shape the news in a pro-Pakistan fashion is somewhat new (last 2-3 years perhaps).

First the CI commentary was biased against India, now it's the BBC. What or who will you target for the hat-trick?

Could you produce a list of meaningful statistics on that, please?

As far as other things go I think BBC is relied upon by most people as> a solid, trustworthy and fair source of news
Well, there are those who think the BBC shapes the news in current affairs, so maybe there are those who think the beeb's sports coverage is biased too.
