Some folks who are not watching the game live might be thinking that we lost our way due to great bowling and/or the track playing tricks. Absolutely not. The track was flat as a pancake, and neither Arshad nor Hafeez were turning it. It was just our batsmen getting themselves into a pressure situation and then trying to hit their way out, losing their wicket, and thereby increasing the pressure for the next man in.

So Vinay...what do u make out of the Indian total....seems like 20-30> short to me....Sehwag must be wondering that the team loses its way> once he gets out.>
Not sure how much heat will be a factor in the second innings....but it> was certainly big while India was batting.>
Hoping for a good performance from Ashish.
Sachit,
If we look at the wisdom that says you can double your 30 over score, than we have fallen really behind. At the beginning of the 40th over we were 225/3. So we added just about 50 runs in the last 10 overs!! Pathetic. We should have looked to add at least 80, which would have taken us into the low 300s. Hell even at the end of the 41st, we were on target - we took 8 runs each off the 40th and 41st. The 42nd was the beginning of the end. Would you believe that starting from that over, we would cross 5 runs only in the 50th over? Inexplicable.
As you say, we are at least 20-30 runs behind. And usually you dont have that kind of margin of error in ODIs in India.
