 One of the reasons I cant respect one day cricket is that a player like
Yuvraj comes out, plays with a clearly faulty technique (bat well away from
body, hardly any foot movement) and there is really no penalty for that in
this form of the game. Put this guy against mcgrath and 3 slips on a sporty
track in a test match and i dont think he would last 5 overs. But in the OD
game, he is at easy, fully at home.

I would say yes and no. Sehwag does not have a textbook technique yes. But
as many have pointed out, his bat comes down very very straight most of the
time (unlike Yuvraj, whose bat comes down like an artists brush, meandering
nicely along the way). Also, I think Sehwag's footwork is not the best, but
it is adequate, again unlike Yuvraj. And then, as you said, Sehwag is just
probably much more talented which allows him to play that way.

Gilly is also an amazingly talented person - really a once in a generation
cricketer. I am beginning to wonder if even Sehwag is like that - perhaps we
still havent see the full extent of Sehwag's talent. The guy continues to
amaze me and raise my expectations of him.
