India is likely to pull off an astounding(or excpetd?) victory in the 3rd Test - it does not make Inzy's decision to declare bad. He had to it to try to win.
Why will India win? 1. A lot of them need runs to save their place in the team . Gambhir, Ganguly and VVS in that order. They will try to play hard. 2. Notwithstanding his I1 herorics, Sehwag will genuinely try to score in I2. 3. Dravid has some scores to settle at his 'home' ground. 4. What better way to score the 35th century ? We can expect a gem from the master blaster. 35 will come in a pressure situation to get a win. 5. SCG didn't steal around 15,000 internationals runs... he actually scored them by running the hard yard( or between the wickets). He will remind everyone of that in I2. 6. Laxman didn't get out in I1, he won't in I2 either to keep the slate clean. 7. Karthick has to prove that his 93 at K'Kota was not a fluke.
enough said.
Why will Pak win? 1. They want to win to level the series 1-1. 2. Back to step 1.
Not much of a competition here between the 2 scenarios...

I like the optimism Paji. I love it. Too many folks here are too pessimistic about India. I can't stand pessimism. You gotta be positive without losing your head of course.
That said, winning the match is highly unlikely. It will be historic though. No one successfully chased 383 in India.
As Laxman said, first two hours will dictate what India will do. After tea, if India have enough wickets in hand and the asking run rate is well below 5, they will push for a win.
