My 2 cents on the Symonds (or Krusty the Clown as mentioned in other
posts) incident is not racists. No Windies or Sri Lankan or Zimbabwean
player has ever been subject to such attacks. This is about as racists
as calling Inzy a potato or Gatting a pig.

Melbourne, PTI:
The Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission recently did a
survey on the cultural diversity and racism in Australian sport and
the findings aren't very flattering, according to a report in The
Australian.
The Australians may complain of racial abuse in India, but a human
rights report came out with the finding that racism is prevalent in
Australia.
The Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission recently did a
survey on the cultural diversity and racism in Australian sport and
the findings are n't very flattering, according to a report in The
Australian.
"It is clear that incidents of racial abuse and vilification are
prevalent across all major sporting codes," race discrimination
commissio-ner Tom Calma was quoted as saying. "The fear of racism in
Australian sport is also a major barrier to participation for
indigenous people and those from various ethnic and cultural groups,"
he said.
The report cites the incident of racial abuse of South African and Sri
Lankan cricketers and also ethnic clashes during soccer matches and
says such incidents are on the rise.
"Racism has been the ugly underbelly of Australian sport for over a
century," the report noted. It also sheds lights on uncomfortable
truths like under-representation of migrants and indigenous people and
disadvantages young women face in Australian sport.

Well it is a fairly silly article. There is demonstrably far less racism
in Australian sport than in Oz society in general. Indigenous Australians
are vastly *over*-represented in Oz sport (though not cricket of course).
