completely made up the answer to the question on whether he planned to stay at cruiserweight. Mormeck said that 'for the moment' he plans to. Obviously, the man wants to turn heavyweight eventually. Instead, she went on about Don King, etc. No connection whatsoever to the fighter's answer. I hate it when they do that.

Do you think Don King might have hired that interpreter? BTW, I didn't hear the interview, yet.

I dont think so. She may even be his French promoter.

I don't know. I don't speak French, but he seemed to have been speaking of "confidence" and she mentioned that Mormeck has "confidence in Don". I am not so certain she did not translate Jean Marc correctly. Do you speak French?
In article <bPR3e.28758$hU7.9058@newssvr33.news.prodigy.com>, 223rem@sbcglobal.com says...> completely made up the answer to the question> on whether he planned to stay at cruiserweight.> Mormeck said that 'for the moment' he plans to.> Obviously, the man wants to turn heavyweight> eventually.> Instead, she went on about Don King, etc. No> connection whatsoever to the fighter's answer.> I hate it when they do that.
Well, they did introduce her as an advisor to Mormeck, so I figured she was just spinning the answer as it came.
My rudimentary French (my worst subject in school-- I can't even master English) let me to think that she was putting spin on his answers. I emailed a friend in Montreal about it, but he didn't get to see the fight. Good to hear some confirmation.
I do think that both Farhood and Braithwaite were very gracious when Mormeck wanted to say more, and Farhood was turning away to talk to Big Truck. Then I was nicely surprised when Mormeck didn't say the usual "thanks to Jesus" or shout out to his homeys in the Langeudoc, but said nice things about his opponent and the fight.
