I thought i was in pretty good shape.. Im a champion racquetball player, i lift weights..I can play anything and have high endurance.
within oh, 15 minutes of warm up crunches, weird leg things, inverted situps with guy laying on my leg, and stretches..i was hurting.
then we did 4 rounds of hitting the bag, with 1 min break, jumping rope for 4 rounds straight, about 15 mins...and 4 rounds of jogging in place while lifting knees high and extending arms high in the air.
quite a workout. fun watching some of these guys who have been doing it a while and actually want to box, spar in the ring. (i'm doing it for the fitness....i'll spar one day...but im not looking to EVER legitimately compete.
then, it hits you.. you watch these warriors on hbo or sho pounding each other for 12 rounds.... amazing.
i was hitting a heavy bag for 4 rounds, and i saw myself losing the pop of my punches by the 2nd round...and no one was hitting me back!
i already respected this sport, and love it... now i just appreciate it a tad more.
i weighed in at 270. I'm anxious to see where I am in a month or so going 3x a week.

You weigh 270 and think you are in pretty good shape? Wow, you must be like 7' tall.
i know what you are thinking...im 6 foot, but very solid.. nothing jiggles. im just big boned really!

i look 220 which is far from perfect.. bu ti dont look likea blobby 270lbs
