Caught this in the AP newswire this morning. Seems as though his lifestyle
out paces his savings and investments.

Evander Holyfield's Fayette County Estate Under Foreclosure

FAYETTEVILLE, GA (AP) -- Former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield
appears to be having financial problems.

A legal notice that appeared in a local newspaper shows his Fayette County
estate is under foreclosure.

The home worth an estimated $10 million is set to be auctioned by a bank
on July 1.

The mother of one of Holyfield's nine children says he has missed two
child-support payments.

Toi Irvin, who lives in Clayton County, filed a petition for contempt in
Fayette County Superior Court on behalf of her 10-year-old son.

Irvin says she was told by Holyfield's representatives not to expect the
payment for May and June totaling $6,000.

The 45-year-old Holyfield has declined comment on the child-support
allegations and the foreclosure.

Holyfield last fought on Oct. 13, 2007. He has been trying to secure
another heavyweight championship.

I've always thought that unless Holyfield had investments which created a
huge cashflow, his over-the-top lifestyle (and child support payments) would
catch up with him. I don't recall the size or number of room to his estate,
but it is enormous IIRC. I'm relatively certain that it takes a lot of
money just to run it and maintain it. Some of today's athletes (and
yesterdays and likely tomorrow's too) take on a lifestyle that is dependant
upon their maintaining a high level of income which, once their out of the
sport, is unreasonable. Dumb shits. Maybe Evander can pray for his next
few payemtns. Oh, he's also been told by God that he'll be winning the
undisputed HW title.

When one lives high on the hog and the hog is hip deep in mud, the
ending is easy to predict.

Nine kids? Let me guess, with 9 different women probably.

What a piece of crap he is, not even paying child support on his
'bastards'.
