| | Gomez is no mug and this is his last chance saloon. He will take Khan for a few rounds but Khan should have the quality and enough in the tank to take this. Still hard to predict though.

| Arthur Abraham vs. Edison Miranda: Ruddell 03:49:45 |
| | This one starts in just over an hour or so and I kinda expect some real action. Don't get me wrong but after the last fight they had it could easily be turned around this time. Anyone who goes the distance isn't finished, just not their night?
And it's a freebie for us Canadians. Why on earth is God being so good to us all of a sudden? Or is it the evil cable companies doing the uppercut setup???

| Did Mayweather beat up Javon Walker? Buttinsky 17:44:53 |
| | This article hints at it:
http://www.lvrj.com/news/20282799.html
Or, did three armed men randomly pick his room, knock on the door, beat him up, knock him unconscious, steal his gaudy jewelry, carry his senseless body downstairs, put him in a car, drive him around, then drop him off on a Las Vegas backstreet?
-----
Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker told a Web site Tuesday that he was knocked unconscious at gunpoint in his Bellagio hotel room and abducted.
TheDirty.com said Walker agreed to an interview to clear up rumors that the robbery was connected to his champagne-spraying at Tryst nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas and Body English at the Hard Rock Hotel.
"I was just back at my room, and at about 5:30 in the morning, I got a knock at the door," he told the Web site. "I opened it, and three guys with guns were there. They cracked me in the head a few times, knocking me unconscious. They then robbed me of everything I had; my watch, money, everything. Somehow they got me to a car and dropped me off in the street. That's what happened."
Walker was to be interviewed Tuesday night by Las Vegas police, his second session with authorities. A statement by the NFL star was in the works for today, police indicated.
In the interview with the Web site, Walker rejected reports that the incident was tied to spraying boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his entourage. Mayweather and his crew were seated near Walker at Body English early Monday.
Walker had showered numerous bottles of Dom Perignon Rose champagne on the crowd at Tryst after arriving about 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Vegas Confidential learned Tuesday. He showed up early Monday at Body English and ordered 15 bottles of Dom Perignon Rose champagne, the same amount he requested at Tryst.
According to the Hard Rock public relations department, Walker left Body English between 3 and 3:30 a.m., not 6:30 a.m., which is the time I cited in a Web report based on information from a Body English executive.
Walker remained in Sunrise Hospital on Tuesday with a moderate concussion and a fractured eye socket.
The Milwaukee Sentinel Journal reported Tuesday that Las Vegas police said he was robbed of $3,000 in cash and $100,000 in jewelry, including a large jewel-encrusted watch. The Milwaukee paper said police indicated the robbers put him in a car and beat him.
If there is a connection to Walker's champagne-spraying actions, it wouldn't be the first time trouble followed him after the bubbly flew into a crowd.
Eighteen months ago, he was with some Denver Broncos teammates when fellow wide receiver Brandon Marshall and Marshall's cousin drenched some patrons during a New Year's Eve party in Denver.
According to published reports, some gang members took offense and confronted the Broncos players, who left the club and drove off in a limo.
A short time later, a drive-by shooting left Walker's friend, Broncos defensive back Darrent Williams, dead from gunshot wounds. Williams died in Walker's arms.
Representatives from seven Las Vegas nightclubs told me Tuesday they do not permit champagne to be sprayed because of the potential problems.
"It's just lighting the fuse," a club operator said. "Things can flare up quick."
Another club executive said, "We consider it the same as throwing your drink on someone. When it happens at our club, they are escorted out immediately."

NYC trial witness claims Mike Tyson put up `hit plot money
NEW YORK (AP) Mike Tyson put up $50,000 for a proposed hit on gang members suspected of killing his bodyguard in 2000, a government witness testified.
The allegation was made Thursday by Dwayne Meyers, a former member of the Cash Money Brothers gang. Meyers testified at the trial of Abubakr Raheem, who s accused of driving a getaway car after turf-war killings.
Meyers claimed the former heavyweight champion put up the money to retaliate for the June 2000 slaying of his close friend and former bodyguard, Darryl Homicide Baum. The alleged contract was never carried out.
Tyson s attorney was traveling Friday and could not immediately be reached for comment.

| | Kelly got sloppy one time with his defence in his 1st fight with Taylor. it took a flurry of flush hard clean shots to make Kelly go down. Taylor even whacked him with his elbow. what are the odds of Kelly getting hit like that again? the way he got right back up after those blows to recover shows its going to take a pretty special fighter to beat this guy. and its not Joe.

Liens for unpaid taxes filed against Hearns
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (AP) Former boxing champ Thomas Hitman Hearns owes the federal government more than a quarter-million dollars in unpaid income taxes.
The Detroit News reported Friday on its Web site that liens filed in Oakland County state that Hearns and wife Renee owe nearly $268,000 in federal taxes from 2004-06.
Attorney Michael J. Smith told the newspaper that the 49-year-old Hearns disputes the debt and is working with the Internal Revenue Service to resolve it.
The seven-time world champion is a Detroit native and currently lives in Southfield.
Hearns held WBA, WBC, WBU and IBO titles ranging from the welterweight to cruiserweight divisions between 1980 and 1999. His three-round loss to Marvin Hagler for the middleweight title in 1985 is generally considered one of the best bouts in boxing history.

| Butterbean set to join Hulk Hogan's new wrestling series Kenneth J. Kinley 20:10:58 |
| | DCI is masterbating furiously at this news as we speak!
http://thecelebritycafe.com/features/16568.html
Celeb Wrestlers Announced 6-Jun-2008 Written by: Nolan Maloney
Hogan s to host celebrity wrestling series this fall.
It s not a first, but it is awfully surprising: Hulk Hogan (a.k.a. Terry Bollea) has created a reality show based on another reality show. The only catch is, this one has celebrity talent!
Shockingly identical to WWE s now-defunct Tough Enough series, Hogan s own Hulk Hogan s Celebrity Championship Wrestling will apparently be trained to wrestle, cut promos, and try to win an as-of-yet unnamed prize. They will be coached in two teams, one fronted by Brian Knobbs (half of the infamous tag-team The Nasty Boys), the other by Brutus The Barber Beefcake ('80s WWE wunderkind).
Both coaches will be right at home with the retro-packed cast Hogan has announced. Fifteen-minutes-of-famers Danny Bonaduce, Dustin Diamond, Todd Bridges, and Dennis Rodman have all been confirmed. Inexplicably, seasoned boxer Eric Butterbean Esch is also a member of the roster. The judging panel will be rounded out by managers Jimmy Hart, Eric Bischoff, and Hogan himself.
Hulk Hogan s Celebrity Championship Wrestling premieres this fall on CMT.

| Great White Hope Kelly Pavlik makes short work of Great White Dope Gary Lockett Peter K. Lowell 09:10:15 |

Pavlik makes short work of Lockett
ATLANTIC CITY (TICKER) Gary Lockett was no match whatsoever for Kelly Pavlik.
Making his first defense of the WBC and WBO middleweight titles Saturday, Pavlik scored a technical knockout of Lockett at 1:40 of the third round at Boardwalk Hall.
Pavlik (34-0, 30 KOs) knocked down the Welshman twice in the second round before sending Lockett (30-2) to the canvas again in the third. Upon returning to his feet, Lockett watched as his corner threw in the towel, ending the bout before the challenger suffered any more serious damage.
A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Pavlik overcame a second-round knockdown against Jermain Taylor on September 29 to score a shocking seventh-round TKO. The 26-year-old proved the victory was not a fluke by posting a unanimous decision in a non-title rematch five months later.
Hoping to pull off a surprising triumph of his own, Lockett proved he was not in the same league as Pavlik. After sustaining a hard right hand to the head with 1:20 remaining in the first round, the challenger went down to one knee after receiving a pair of punishing rights to the head midway through the second.
Back on his feet as referee Eddie Cotton s count reached eight, Lockett was rocked with another crushing right hand with 17 seconds remaining in the round, again dropping to one knee but returning to an upright position at the count of eight.
With blood trickling from his nose as well as from under his left eye, Lockett gamely answered the bell for round three but saw his dream of producing an upset win quickly ended.
