Your ST60 wind instrument uses speed through the water, coming from a ST 60 speed instrument, and not SOG from a GPS, as it's source to compute true wind speed. See the history of this newsgroup for more references and discussions on this.
I don't have any experience with the VHF 240 so wouldn't know what that part of your problem is. Once the GPS data is available in the multi, it will be on the seatalk bus as well. One possible remaining issue is that your VHF-240 isn't (correctly) connected to the seatalk bus. Can you see anything else on it?
