prop broken

Chris 4 May 2005 19:33:34
 Hi there,

My prop on my 70's era Merc Motor has about an inch missing off of one of
the fins. Fortunately I do have the missing piece as it broke within reach.

Can these props be fixed?

Or are new ones the only option?

Cheers

It can most likely can be fixed However, if you had a spare prop you
wouldn't be waiting on the repairs. Why not both, a new prop and get
going right away then get the old one repaired and use it for a spare.

There are lots of shops that rebuilt props. Your local marina should be
able to recomend someone local. Or just look in the phone book.
