The off topic to on topic ratio in the past couple of days has been 517 to 73 and that 73 is being generous.
The incessant drum beat of reposted news articles and subsequent name calling nonsense is getting ridiculous.
Is there some kind of rational for posting articles from various newspapers around the country? Are you assuming that nobody can read, or does read, anything other than this newsgroup? Are you incapable of expressing a cogent opinion on your own without resorting to copying others? Or is that just a way to make faces and wave your collective weenies at each other?
I read them all - trust me. It's an education in how to waste bandspace. And the insults aren't even creative any more. I'm always looking for a creative snap - they entertain, but lately, it's just repetition. I can almost tell what is going to be said before it's said just by seeing who is responding.
Even an interesting boating topic went off topic within five posts and the cause was as lame as you could possibly make it - it was just an excuse to have another weenie waving contest.
You guys are really sad.
Here's a suggestion - for every off topic post, you post something on topic.

Tom, I simply got weary of seeing boating-related topics I posted get "hijacked." I used to write some fairly long and detailed posts on boating issues here, but the pondscum invariably turned it into one of their pissing contents, so I simply stopped.
Here's a boating-fishing topic for you.
Though I can afford to pay whatever is charged for fuel for my boats, I'm getting to the point where I'm wondering whether I *want* to put $2.50 a gallon or more into the pockets of the oil company scum. In other words, I'm wondering whether I want to make some sort of political decision about power boating.
I have a buddy with some property and a cabin out on the Shenandoah River in Virginia. I can use the place anytime I want. It's a 100 mile drive from here, and that's about four gallons of gas each way, for eight to 10 gallons for the trip. Once there, I can fish from the banks of the river or fish from our canoe, or flyfish for trout in many nearby streams. He also has a private gun range. There's plenty to do out there, it is naturally beautiful, and uncrowded.
For about $60,000, I can buy my own place out there, five acres of woods and meadow, adjacent to the river (but up from it and out of flood's way), and have a nice cabin and a great getaway lodge.
Ten gallons of gas to get out there and back, or 10 gallons an hour in my gas-powered boat.

Sorry sorry I really am Tom but I'm only replying so I can add this to his list of lies
This lying idiot has NEVER posted anything about boating he didn't plagiarise mostly from the NG itself!!!
It's no surprise of course because he doesn't & never has had a boat
A while back he claimed he'd already bought a farm!!! Now he tells you he's "contemplating" it, it's ALL BS from him nothing more. Turtles all the way down
K
So the Krause lie of the day;
Krause used to refer to fenders as bumpers & nobody here much cared till one day it transpired he didn't know that the article he had been calling a bumper was in fact a fender. When it was pointed out to him that anyone with his claimed pedigree in boating would at the very least know that what he was referring to as a "bumper" was more commonly known as a fender.
You'd think the lying grub is cornered?? No not for a seasoned union hack liar like Krause He rejoins by claiming his imaginary biggest boat dealer in the US nth east father always referred to fenders as bumpers!!!!
I small thing I agree but it confirms this union thug only ever came here because he thinks it makes him clever if he can hoodwink what he perceives to be his class enemy, the mostly ordinary people who actually own boats.
Actually, Dipper, I don't think my father ever saw a Bayliner. > But he still called bumpers bumpers.

This is just a thought of course but I've long since completely blocked the more prolific of the morons since I've found that what ever they may be able to offer in the way of good boating information is far out weighed by the need to filter through their infantile wrangling.
It is unfortunate since some of them do seem to have boating opinions worth of notice. However I do not have time in my life to pamper babies on the off chance they may post something actually worth seeing.
I look forward to seeing your posts but you can't seem to be able to resist the futile temptation to make posts about how bad the OT posters are, it isn't going to stop them and usually encourages them. and in several cases, actually not only respond directly to them but include their drivel in your posts.
You are rapidly approaching the bozo list point. I'd hate to see it happen. Why not just use your filters and give the children what their posts deserves, being ignored!
