The design is intuitive, meaning that it's functions are very easy to figure out. Lots of storage space, lots of functions. Works as a portable hard drive.

The future is often smacking us right in the face. Take notice or be left behind.

I don't know - that's why I asked.

How about compared to other similar units like Panasonic or Toshiba?

Thanks Jeff. I don't need the big one, but I'm seriously thinking of the small version.
I have 2800 CDs all total - it's mostly reproduction of my album collection which I sold a few years ago to a collector. One of those albums was a Verve issue of "Meet the Beatles" in mint condition.
You wouldn't believe that album brought at auction. :>)

$30,000 for a Beatles album.................get out! Way to go.
One that was signed by all Beatles only went for $5,000 recently.
I tried to sell my albums to a broker once. He only wanted rare albums in pristine condition (cover and album). While my albums were well taken care of the album covers have shown some use along the edges.

I understand that the only downloads you can do for an Ipod is from Itunes, ie: Apple. I don't think you can download MP3's from any other source to an Ipod.

You are incorrect in your assumption. You can install any MP3's into Ipod.

Basskisser, AAC is the format for downloading music files from Itunes music store. I own a IPOD, and it is very easy to put MP3 in Ipod using Itunes Jukebox.
