 7 months into this sport,
had my first 8 ball run-out tonight.
Nothing fell on the break, and I took a little
tougher shot to get stripes, instead of an easy shot for a low
ball. There were 4 lows in the open and easy, but the rest
were in an ugly cluster.
Everything went exactly the way I wanted.
I saw a possibile 4 ball run, then a tricky combination,
and couldn't see further. The combo worked, and the first
ball in the combination rolled to a good spot, and I saw the rest
of it. The 8 ball was almost a table-length shot, a mild cut,
but the cb was very close to the 8, about 2 inches off the
short rail. I took a lot of time on the 8,
and I often miss a shot like that.
I "saw" every shot, and every line.
no biggie for contributors here, but it's my first, and a first only happens
once in your life.
I'm happy!
/left him with 7. ha!
