Happy Birthday Sean

Dennis Jordan 5 April 2005 07:39:41
From a Champaign Il Illini fan. Great game.

Fellow fans, STOP whining about the refs. When it came down to it the
game was decided as it should be....70 to 70 and everyone had the same
chance. The better team tonight was NC.

That's all

Amen. Illinois fans have no right to complain about fouls, not
after the 'Zona game.

Zona fan,

Having James Augustine available in the last minutes of the game could
have made the difference.

Unfortunately, the refs decided they really didn't want to see much of
him on the floor tonight.

Keep in mind: I almost NEVER complain about refereeing. Tonight, I
shall make an exception. That was HORRIBLE, and it DID impact the
game. They called every little ticky-tack touch foul against the
Illini when May had the ball in the post, but then the refs swallowed
their whistles in such cases like in the first half when May knocked
over Roger Powell like a bowling pin.

Oh yeah, like the Illinois muggings of Zona in the last four minutes
of the elite 8 game didn't factor into the outcome. Stow it, whiner.
There was nothing egregiously bad about the refs tonight, nothing
compared to how they shafted Arizona.

Aha, a loutish flamer who also whines about the officiating. Haven't
ever seen one of those before.

I thought that was a charge on May too, but when they showed a replay, Powell
clearly flopped.

Shane Battier would have gotten that call 9 times out of 10 at least.
