I don't care who plays who at this point. I'm here, I got my tickets, and I'm gonna have a BLAST.

So what you're saying is that your TV room is free?

I'm sure the wife was in there with the kids for at least some of it.
Wow, what a set of games. It was hard sitting through the first game knowing what was looming. It was even harder watching that first half. Raymond was trying too hard, no bounces went our way, and we weren't shooting good. Combine that with good post defense by MSU and decent shooting by them, and we were in trouble. But that 26-11 run for the first seven and a half minutes of the second half sure put us in control. Things got shaky for a bit, but we kept control fairly well and finished the deal.
But if we play like that first half for more than a couple minutes against Illinois, we'll be out of the game before we get in it.
Honestly, I'm not anti-woofing here...I really don't think we can beat Illinois if they keep shooting threes at over 32% or so. 40% and they beat us easily. We can probably pound them down low, but trading twos for threes won't get it done. I just don't see us being able to defend the three point line well enough, though. Illinois will have to shoot worse than they have been or we have to play *great* defense, something we haven't done in two months.
The big plus is Jawad's return, though. If Raymond doesn't overcook it, Jawad stays strong, Marvin gets his head back in it (I think his toe may be hurting him again), and Rashad/Jackie/Noel/Scott all play good perimeter defense, we have a chance. May will play well. We just need a nearly perfect game to be in this one at the end.

Seeing as UNC is capable of shooting 50% from two, you 32% trey numbers smell like goat cheese.

UNC shot exactly 50% from two and Illinois shot 30% from trey. What I didn't count on was UNC shooting 56% from trey. Holy fother mucking goat cheese, Batman.
