	Now that the final four is here I'm dissapointed with my team this year. I can also relate to what the duke fans must be feeling when their archrival does much better than them. Now I only hope that Taft and/or Krauser do not opt for the NBA draft and that they can find some sort of spark and regroup (and brace for better teams coming in to the conference). You're right about one thing: Jarvi$ alienated almost everyone. You're wrong about well, almost everything else. Because there never was a "recruiting wall" around NYC; for every Chris Mullin who stayed home there were three Stephon Marburys who got away. But it didn't really matter, because there was such a plethora of homegrown talent that SJU only had to get two or three a year to stay competitive. Whereas under Jarvi$ SJU got none a year. Instead they got felons like Abe Keita, who Jarvis paid $300 under the table a month and who committed more fouls over the course of his career than he scored points. From what I hear, NR and staff are everywhere in the city, all the time. And if NR's first full incoming class is any indication -- a top 25 in Anthony Mason Jr, a top 100 in Ricky Torres, allegedly the best shooter to come out of NYC in 10 years, who, incidentally, chose SJU over Pitt, some 7' Lithuanian with an alleged jump shot, and Dunbar High's Aaron Spears (transfer from Illinois) -- he's done pretty well. And oh yeah, a 2006 commit from projected McDonald's AA Doug Wiggins. Not bad, considering he's not even a year into the job.

At least one of them was present at every Panthers summer game they were allowed to attend. Antigua said Roberts was the most visible head coach recruiting St. Ray's star Ricky Torres. The attention paid dividends.
