First day

 So, I was thinking back over yesterday's games, and it struck me that
on the whole they were anticlimactic, lacking in drama, and even kind
of boring (relatively speaking, of course). There were relatively few
upsets (two -- I don't count a 9 winning as an upset) and close games
(only two decided by fewer than five points, and only five by fewer
than ten), and no exciting finishes (OK, maybe one). Also, no real
strong performances by the top teams. In a lot of the games, one team
built a lead and basically coasted from there.

No compelling storylines -- except maybe that a number of top teams
struggled.

And of course, the first day also brings the annual realization that
CBS' coverage is going to suck again (don't know why I'd think
different after all these years).

(Of course, it could be that CBS' sucky coverage is the main factor
behind my feelings about yesterday's games.)

Let's see what the second day brings ...
