News from April 18.

The NBA named Tracy McGrady (Hou) and Jason Kidd (NJ) as Players of the
Week. McGrady averaged 31 points as Houston went 3-0. Kidd averaged 18.3
points, 12.3 rebounds, and 10 assists as New Jersey went 3-0.

The NBA suspended Vlade Divac (LAL) for 2 games for his intentionally thrown
elbow that connected with Shawn Bradley's (Dal) chin during Sunday's Dal-LAL
game.

The NBA suspended Anthony Johnson (Ind) for 1 game for throwing a punch at
Alonzo Mourning (Mia) during Sunday's Ind-Mia game.

Eduardo Najera (Den) suffered a broken bone in his right hand during
Tuesday's Dan-Pho game.

Denver activated Voshon Lenard and placed Marcus Camby on IR with a strained
right hamstring. [Note that the injury list runs through the end of the
regular season and has no barring on playoff eligibility.]

Milwaukee activated Daniel Santiago and placed Joe Smith on IR with a left
pinky laceration.

Chicago signed Lawrence Funderburke and placed Eddy Curry on IR with an
irregular heartbeat.

Minnesota activated Ndudi Ebi and placed Troy Hudson on IR with a sore right
groin.


Phi 122, Mil 106 at Phi
Kyle Korver (Phi) had 19 points including 4-10 3-pointers.
Chris Webber (Phi) had 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Allen Iverson (Phi) had 39 points including 15-27 FG, 7 rebounds, 12
assists, and 3 steals.
Desmond Mason (Mil) had 22 points including 12-14 FT.
Dan Gadzuric (Mil) had 21 points including 9-14 FG and 20 rebounds including
8 offensive.
Michael Redd (Mil, left Achilles tendinitis) did not play.

Mem 94, SA 92 at Mem
Pau Gasol (Mem) had 20 points and 6 rebounds.
Mike Miller (Mem) had 28 points including 12-21 FG, 4-8 3-pointers, and the
game winning long jumper at the buzzer and 9 rebounds. [And kudos to the
refs for getting the call right as replays showed that the ball was still in
Miller's hands when time expired, but also showed that over 5 seconds ran
off the clock before the ball was inbounded - the refs saw that the clock
started early and ruled that 1.4 seconds was more than enough time for
Miller to get off the shot he took, without looking at the replay.]
Stromile Swift (Mem) had 16 points on 5-7 FG and 6-10 FT and 6 rebounds.
Tim Duncan (SA) had 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 blocks.
Glenn Robinson (SA) had 23 points including 9-11 FG.
Tony Parker (SA, stomach virus) did not play.

Hou 115, LAC 90 at Hou
Tracy McGrady (Hou) had 16 points including 5-14 FG, 5 rebounds, 10 assists,
and 5 turnovers.
Yao Ming (Hou) had 24 points including 10-14 FG and 7 rebounds.
Scott Padgett (Hou) had 15 points on 5-7 FG and 5-6 3-pointers, 9 rebounds,
and 3 steals.
Elton Brand (LAC) had 36 points including 15-19 FG and 6 rebounds.
Mikki Moore (LAC) had 14 points and 5 rebounds.
Zeljko Rebraca (LAC, sprained left ankle) did not play.

Orl 92, Ind 88 at Orl
DeShawn Stevenson (Orl) had 18 points.
Dwight Howard (Orl) had 17 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Steve Francis (Orl) had 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Jermaine O'Neal (Ind) had 16 points and 8 rebounds.
Fred Jones (Ind) had 19 points.
Pat Garrity (Orl, torn right Achilles) and Anthony Johnson (Ind, suspended)

Matt Harpring (Uta) had 24 points including 10-15 FG and 13 rebounds.
Mehmet Okur (Uta) had 21 points and 12 rebounds including 5 offensive.
Gordan Giricek (Uta) had 12 points including 5-7 FG, 5 rebounds, 5 assists,
and 5 turnovers.
Mike Bibby (Sac) had 26 points including 1-6 3-pointers and 6 assists.
Darius Songaila (Sac) had 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Uta shot 46.6% (34-73) FG and Sac shot 36.1% (30-83) FG.
Raja Bell (Uta, bruised right knee), Curtis Borchardt (Uta, right knee
tendinitis), and Peja Stojakovic (Sac, right groin strain) did not play.

GS shot 51.7% (46-89) FG and LAL shot 37.3% (38-102) FG.
