Rashad coming back?

Guest 10 March 2005 01:30:32
University of North Carolina junior swingman Rashad McCants has been
given medical clearance to return to practice by team doctors. McCants
will practice with Carolina beginning later this afternoon.
From the UNC website.

And there was much rejoicing.

And when UNC does not win the ACC crown and NCAA crown - the Carolina
fans will turn on McCants and say they were better without him. Fickle.
Turned on Gut. Turned on Doherty. Turned on Ford. Next is McCants and
Roy.

Not a chance on my end. No way UNC is better without McCants. They
barely won 3 of the 4 games without him and really needed him Sunday.
They'll win or lose based on how the rest of the team plays... McCants
has been off his game, illness or not, for some time. But he is needed
if only to give UNC another option.

I'm just saying that's a heck of a lot of casts in one day. I'm just
sayin.

Good news to hear. The ACC tournament is a better time than the NCAA
tournament--if he's able to play by this weekend--to work out any chemistry
kinks if there are any.

The pre-existing ones or the new ones?

I agree with Harry.

You never know. kstarheel may eventually
take up the idea that McCants faked his
stomach ailment and thereby destroyed UNC's
team chemistry.

Such vile behavior would be consistent with
kstargeel's previous statements.

For the third or fourth time. It depends on how you delineate things.

Seriously? Like, earlier this year? Because I thought our chemistry
looked pretty good this year. I'm curious what you mean.

Or are you just talking about some games where we didn't look so good?
I think those are bound to happen. We've had other games where we've
looked great.

Just wondering.

I mean McCants jacking up three after three against Duke and
just standing there as they clangdoned. He didn't hustle back
on D or follow the shot.

McCants was good enough to be an addition but not nearly as
much as it could be due to "chemistry" issues (I think he is
manic). Coming back creates new chemistry just because
there are rotation and PT issues.
