Well, I guess I should've had more faith that (enough of) the voters
would do the right thing.

Of course, this could just mean that a bunch of them sent in their
ballots a day early :-).

"The top four teams went 2-2 on Sunday with the games decided by a total
of six points. "

That's quite a day...

I'm happy that the Illini is still #1.UNC doesn't have the bullseye on
them.

Who has fewer losses?

I seem to remember other late season losses by teams with
a clear advantage over everyone else, and they didn't drop.
I think Duke even one year. When your are still up two losses
(one to three or two to four) pollogic dictates you keep it.

Drop another one and you could plummet all the way down
to three, depending on what others do. It's not a given that
you even drop.

Twice, in 1992.

Hey, you don't have to convince me that it's the right thing. I'm
just a little surprised the polls (even the Coaches'!) got it right.

As to if/when it's happened before, did the #2 team win then? That
is, has it happened that when the #1 team lost and the #2 team won,
the #1 team remained #1.

Twice, in 1992.

What did the #2 team do when that happened? That is, in the weeks
Duke lost but stayed #1, what did the #2 team do?

For at least one of Duke's losses, the #2 and #3 teams both lost. I'm
not sure about the other one.

Welcome back Senator! Glad you're over your post-game sulk.

I think slapping Ewing's elbow *hard* while trying to foul
is a great defensive play, but what do I know.
